Christmas at Monterra is a stunning home transformation that reflects a harmonious blend of modern aesthetics and classic Tuscan architecture, completed in 2025. Originally built by The Fred Parker Company in 2015 for discerning clients, this residence had already set a high standard of craftsmanship and design. However, the owners sought to refresh their living space with a lighter, more contemporary style that resonates with their evolving tastes. Collaborating with Lila Parker ASID, a renowned interior designer, the project aimed to create an inviting atmosphere that seamlessly connects the home’s interior spaces. The renovation began with the removal of dark mosaic tiles from the larger archways, allowing for a more expansive and open feel throughout the home. Lila Parker meticulously selected a palette of lighter colors that not only brightened the interior but also enhanced the natural light, giving each room a vibrant and airy ambiance. To further elevate the design, the furnishings were updated with new fabrics and furniture pieces that exude elegance and comfort, perfectly complementing the home’s Mediterranean charm. A standout feature of the redesign includes the reimagined decorative tile inlays above the chef’s oven. The original darker border was replaced with a custom stone mosaic, adding a sophisticated touch that draws the eye and serves as a focal point in the kitchen. Outside, the transformation continued with the replacement of the patio furniture’s exterior fabrics, ensuring that the Outdoor Living Area became a stylish and comfortable space for entertaining and relaxation. The outcome of Christmas at Monterra is a cohesive blend of modern design elements and timeless Tuscan influences, resulting in a home that is not only beautiful but also functional.
