This family-friendly kitchen, designed with a focus on gathering and entertaining, transformed an outdated space into a vibrant hub for family and friends. The homeowners, inspired by the renovation next door, sought our expertise to realize their vision. From the outset, our lead designer, Marty, crafted a comprehensive plan that emphasized both aesthetics and functionality, while Andy expertly navigated the complexities of engineering the layout. The kitchen's centerpiece is a large island that comfortably seats the entire family, providing ample prep space for cooking and hosting. Appliances and plumbing were strategically relocated to enhance workflow and usability, ensuring that the kitchen not only looks stunning but also operates efficiently. The design incorporates a rich palette of materials, including decorative tile over the cooktop that serves as a stunning focal point, and custom Alder floating shelves, which have been retrofitted with task lighting for both beauty and practicality. A key feature of the renovation was the transformation of a shallow closet pantry into an open nook, complete with custom shelving and a dedicated pet treat drawer, allowing for clever storage solutions that cater to the family's needs.
