About This Project

The "From Closed-Off to Open Concept" project in Bend, OR, represents a remarkable transformation of a home’s layout, enhancing both its functionality and aesthetic appeal. Initially, the kitchen was confined by a room, a wall, and an imposing fireplace, which created significant barriers that hindered the natural flow of the living space. Our design vision focused on breaking down these obstacles to create a seamless connection between the kitchen and adjoining areas, promoting a more inviting and spacious atmosphere. To achieve this transformation, we undertook the removal of the enclosing walls and relocated the laundry area from its previous space to a newly added square footage at the back of the home. This strategic move not only preserved essential functionality but also dramatically redefined the home’s layout. The renovation extended throughout the entire residence, resulting in a cohesive and refreshed aesthetic. Craftsmanship was a top priority, as we installed all new trim, paint, and flooring, which contributed to the home's modern yet timeless appeal. The kitchen was completely redesigned, featuring state-of-the-art appliances, elegant cabinetry, and a layout optimized for both cooking and entertaining. Sleek surfaces and thoughtful design choices were made to ensure the kitchen became a focal point of the home. The bathrooms also underwent a meticulous renovation, incorporating contemporary fixtures and finishes that complement the overall design. Additional upgrades included the installation of a new gas fireplace, which not only adds warmth but also serves as a stylish centerpiece in the living area. Updated doors and windows further enhanced energy efficiency and visual appeal, allowing natural light to flood the space.
