The restoration project focused on preserving the intricate design elements that contribute to its historical significance, while incorporating contemporary comforts that meet today’s lifestyle needs. One notable aspect of the project was the preservation and enhancement of the exquisite hardwood floors throughout the mansion. Crafted from 8-inch wide solid plank quartersawn English oak, these floors are not only a testament to the craftsmanship of the era but are also believed to be nearly 400 years old.
