This multi-phased changed a typical residential yard into a beautiful outdoor space that complemented the gorgeous relationships with the Lowcountry environment. The process began with a site survey and data collection to discover the unique characteristics of the landscape and the vision of the customer. The included interesting native vegetation selection, such as beautiful azaleas, hardy palmettos, and fragrant gardenias which were selected to grow in the coastal climate with weather that attract native wildlife. The materials selected were of the highest quality and included things such as natural stone pathways, wooden trellises, and composite decking to allow for longevity and low maintenance. One of the main difficulties we faced was the area's sandy soil with a high water table. In order to } have effective drainage, innovative drainage solutions needed to be applied to even remove excess water from the area. The first part of the skilled team was to decide on the most efficient drainage system, which would support the goals of the visionary goals of the . Adding hardscape elements to the site was also very important, but the way we added them, allowed for all things to maintain the aesthetic appeal of Carolyn's landscaping in the . Items used were a water feature for tranquility and an outdoor fire pit for a functional use, both of which supported complete social habits and continued social connections throughout the ownership of the landscape. The final product was an outdoor living space that was uplifting and the memory of the landscape will last for years to come.
