The Hepperly Craftsman Remodel showcases a stunning transformation of a classic craftsman-style home nestled among the majestic redwoods. This project undertook the removal of an outdated wood stove, paving the way for a more expansive and functional kitchen space. The highlight of the remodel is the addition of a large entertaining island, which serves as a central hub for gatherings and culinary activities, making the kitchen not just a place for cooking, but a warm and inviting area for family and friends to come together. In keeping with the home's original charm, we meticulously updated a unique built-in pantry unit to ensure it harmonizes beautifully with the overall design. The introduction of transom glass doors not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also allows natural light to filter through, brightening the kitchen and creating an airy atmosphere. The craftsmanship of Clyde Construction, based in Sebastopol, CA, ensured that every detail was executed with precision and care, resulting in a seamless blend of modern functionality within the traditional framework of the home. For the cabinetry, we selected Crystal Cabinets Inset Keyline in the Regent Shaker door style, featuring a Maple Breezewood Stain complemented by a Van Dyke Brown Highlight. This choice adds depth and warmth to the kitchen, while the Pental Quartz Sandcastle countertop provides durability and elegance. The island, crafted from exquisite Quartzite Sea Pearl, enhances the luxurious feel of the space, offering both beauty and resilience for daily use.
