Heights Residence A Transformation by The Good Earth Garden Center Located in the heart of Cammack Village, Heights Residence is a that exemplifies The Good Earth Garden Center’s goal for excellence in the art of landscaping. This involved a complete overhaul of a large yard, integrating form and function to produce an outdoor sanctuary. As with every , we started by inspecting the site’s unique topography, which presented both opportunities and hurdles ranging from steep grades, to areas with less than optimal hours of sun. The topography of the site dictated use of terracing and raised garden beds made from locally-sourced stone and cedar to ameliorate every visual aspect, and durability. The ’s highlights included a custom water featurea type of pond surrounded by a variety of indigenous plant species to establish a habitat and foster biodiversity. We incorporated specific combinations of perennial plants and ornamental grasses for year-round interest applying a drip irrigation system to improve water efficiency. To attain a rustic effect regarding the pathways we installed reclaimed brick with specific vintage and character qualities that complemented the landscape. In addition, we faced the challenge of designing the landscape for a vibrant outdoor living space. We engaged the clients with an entertainment area, complete with a fire pit with seating for entertaining, in-place of a future planting area that had been overlooked. While the aesthetic appeal of native plants minimized maintenance after installation, we selected incredible native species that were also hardy and suited for the local climate, to help conserve irrigation and fertilization efforts in the long run. Upon completion, the space was a spectacular landscape that exceeded our client’s expectations and can now be offer peace and beauty they are desire in living with their landscape. Heights Residence now provides a beautiful serviceable landscape that enhances and synergizes with their house architecture and to maintain enjoyment with the natural beauty of the neighborhood. The enthusiastic homeowners also expressed how the entire transformation brought back their love for outdoor living.
