About This Project

The Makeovers project involved a comprehensive transformation of an outdated fireplace, enhancing both its aesthetic appeal and environmental sustainability. The initial phase of the project entailed the careful removal of the lower section of the fireplace, which had become a visual distraction in the living space. This deconstruction allowed for a fresh perspective on the fireplace’s overall design, paving the way for a more modern and cohesive look. The upper part of the fireplace was thoughtfully boxed in, providing a clean and finished appearance while also integrating seamlessly with the surrounding déc. For the stone veneer, we selected recycled granite, a choice that not only adds elegance but also showcases our commitment to eco-friendly practices. This material was meticulously installed around the fireplace, creating a striking focal point that draws the eye and elevates the room’s overall design. The use of approximately 300 pounds of recycled granite not only contributed to the beauty of the fireplace but also significantly reduced waste, as this stone was diverted from a landfill. The craftsmanship involved in the installation was of the highest caliber, ensuring that each piece of granite was perfectly aligned and securely adhered, resulting in a stunning and durable finish. The final outcome of the project is a beautifully revamped fireplace that serves as both a functional feature and an artistic element within the space. The interplay of textures and colors from the granite enhances the warmth of the room, making it an inviting area for gatherings and relaxation.
