The SoCal Bachelor Pad in Encinitas, CA, reflects a masterful blend of sophistication and comfort, designed with the intent of transitioning a recently divorced man into a new chapter of his life. The vision behind this project was to create a refined yet inviting environment that serves as a stylish sanctuary for relaxation and entertainment, while also being welcoming enough for future guests. Central to the design is the incorporation of La Cantina doors, which elegantly merge indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing natural light to flood the living area and providing seamless access to the beautiful Southern California climate. The layout features a cozy modular seating arrangement that centers around a state-of-the-art theater system, inviting intimate movie nights and shared experiences. This thoughtful arrangement encourages a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for cuddling or entertaining friends. The design is enriched with carefully curated art and accessories, showcasing a blend of personal stories and cultural influences. Accent pillows crafted from vintage Bali fabric, sourced during Kim's travels in Indonesia, add an eclectic touch and a sense of adventure to the space. Additionally, a striking Cambodian antique architectural column has been transformed into a stunning sculpture, serving as a focal point that grounds the room while reflecting a fusion of history and contemporary style.
