With a strong yard, we as designers presume that outdoor places are just an expansion of your home, and when the outdoor installing gives off that warm and comfortable vibe, it can become a place of convenience for private and group gatherings. Case in point: Enjoy these photos from a recent of ours in one of Oakland's charming neighborhoods, 'Firepits & Fireplaces.' It all started with a vision from our clients to design an outdoor space they could use to host friends and family. We carefully placed a central firepit as a visual anchor to the space and cozy seating around the space for relaxing and chatting. Simply select the high-quality natural stone needed for the firepit, providing a permanent and natural look that fits well into the natural setting. The site had a lot of topography so one of the challenges we had to encounter was the dealing with the differences in elevation. The area was professionally graded, however, it kept a natural slope for drainage so that it does not hold water. That carefulness preserved the installation but also made the feature more useful. The other we built to accompany the firepit was a more rustic fireplace for outdoors. It has a beautiful stone veneer with a custom mantel we built out of reclaimed wood. Aside from a little more warmth, it also doubles as a stunning backdrop for evening gatherings. Our clients loved how lighting has been incorporated to accentuate certain features and allow for use at night. The end result is a striking outdoor space that combines coziness with class itself. Our clients were thrilled with their remodel, especially with how they were now able to have entertainment options and spend time outside at any time during the year. This was our mission at Green Meadows Landscaping Inc. and that what we do turning the dreams to reality that what we love to do best landscaping and well satisfied clients. From an intimate family evening to a party with friends, our firepits and fireplaces make the backdrop where memories are made.
