2 - Waynesboro Landscape and Garden Center The Waynesboro Landscape and Garden Center is excited to share 2 - a beautiful transformation that changed the outdoor living experience in Waynesboro. The requirements of this took a residential backyard through a redesign process to build functionality and beauty. Initially, we had some challenges regarding the backyard's topography. There was a steep slope that severely limited the amount of usable space. Our highly talented landscape architects navigated this unique challenge in an innovative way. Tiered gardens and retaining walls were designed to create usable spaces using locally sourced natural stone. The retaining walls were beautiful and offered support for the soil and stability for the landscape to grade down from the tiered levels - a beautiful multi-level landscape was in the making. Native plant species were selected in combination with the hardscape materials to create a vibrant and naturally sustainable landscape that would survive the year and attract local wildlife. The gardening installation included perennials, colorful annuals, and evergreen shrubs that add texture, seasonal interest, and color. The landscaping included a specifically designed custom stone patio, which allows for gathering space outdoors. The patio was designed using beautiful quality pavers that allow for a large area for relaxing and dining. The patio included a fire pit, which provided a cozy gathering space for the evenings when the weather became cool. There were also sophisticated pathway lights installed to increase safety and highlight the beauty of the garden at night. The was finalized with the flower beds being mulched and decorative boulders were set in place to allow for layering, or hardscaping and softscaping. The end result was a stunning outdoor oasis that will achieve the goal of creating their outdoor retreat. The quality comes from the attention to detail, and 2 goals met or exceeded all of the goals. The client was ecstatic regarding the . They told our design team that the backyard represented everything they desired to have functionally and aesthetically in their space. At Waynesboro Landscape and Garden Center, we are capable of taking obstacles and turning them into opportunities; we create adjacency while also creating beautiful landscapes that benefit the quality of life.
