Stonecliff Residence Luminanted Landscapes Inc. proudly announces the completion of the Stonecliff Residence, located in the scenic hills of Western New York State. This landscape design takes advantage of our clients' home site to interpret the natural landscape into functional outdoor living space for the family. The is anchored by a large stone walkway, constructed by laying down blue stone slab pavers, which guides visitors through beautifully arranged gardens and seating areas. We incorporate a variety of native plants so that a vibrant landscape can be enjoyed year-round, while inventing minimal upkeep for the owners. This also elevates the concept of biodiversity and ties in the landscape with the natural topography of the site. One of our major issues was the facing an upward slope at the residence. To achieve deal space on site we layered garden beds using retaining walls with repurposed granite, that not only stabilized the slope but provided a rustic beauty to the space. The beds were located so that exposure of sunlight into the planting beds maximized the experience of seasonal plants and attract new visitors. Additionally, the design included a cozy water feature that showcase a natural pond with stone edging, which anchors the whole design of the gardens, as well as attract wildlife. Water flowing through the outlet is a welcoming sensory element and encourages the owners to 'enjoy and escape' in the outdoors. The result is stunning, functional, and aesthetic. We are proud to have accomplished a balanced outdoor living space and think that the owners will enjoy it for years to come.
