Transforming the average backyard into a luxury retreat, Creative Rock Formations proudly presents the ‘Backyard Pool Resort’. The result has been a new vision for his lifestyle, designed and built with a very special pool area created to feel as if it is part of the natural landscape, which functions as a beautifully natural retreat full of stunning features that can be used for relaxation or entertainment. The includes a customized pool with a large travertine stone deck which complements the aesthetic and is durable and slip resistant. This sculpture water feature evolves from boulders placed in natural order, which spirals into a waterfall, providing a natural white noise for the client while they, and their guests, relax in their lounge and enjoy the comfort of nature. To create a sense of privacy and that tropical resort atmosphere sans the high maintenance requirement, native plants and terraced trees of appropriate species for the area were used. This was not without its challenges and the most challenging aspect was the undulating ground of the back yard. We at ARL worked creatively around this issue by using tiered landscaping techniques, which not only helped prevent sloppy runoffs but also turned slopes into dynamic levels and textures. They constructed custom-built areas with natural stone fire pits to enhance the atmosphere with warm cozy spots in the evenings. The end product is a beautiful balance of nature and luxury that pushed the client’s expectations.
