Perfect Patio by Landscape Architecture, LLC In the heart of Fitchburg, the Perfect Patio by Landscape Architecture, LLC demonstrates our commitment to high quality, creative design for outdoor living. We work in the lovely communities of Madison, Maple Bluff, McFarland, Middleton, Monona, Oregon, Shorewood Hills, Sun Prairie, Verona, Waunakee, Windsor, and Lake Wisconsin, where we focus on functionality as well as aesthetics. The vision was for an elegant outdoor living space that would be a relaxing retreat as well a place for entertaining family and friends. Our first step was to evaluate the natural topography of the site, which presented some complications, such as uneven grading and drainage. With a precise grading plan in place, we could correct any water flow and establish a solid foundation for the patio. We utilized quality materials that would stand against the elements, like the natural stone pavers we chose for the patio. They added positive aesthetics but also durability as an outdoor hardscape option. The pattern interlock was selected to contrast with the softness of the surrounding landscape, but also elegant (also the pavers made for a very nice walkable surface). In order to mitigate the hardscape surface, planting beds with some native perennial plants that would seasonally bloom and provide pollinator opportunities added softening plants to the patio's border. As the centerpiece of the patio, we designed a custom fire pit, along with seating options in order to foster small intimate gatherings under the stars. Some showcase lighting was included to help create a desirable atmosphere which at night provides a soft glow show creates an inviting ambience. The end result of the Perfect Patio was more than what the clients had imagined and that this had created a welcoming and functional outdoor living space in harmony with the natural surroundings. While the increased the value of the property, it also created an opportunity for family and friends to gather and create memories in the outdoor living space.
