English Garden Patio by Landscape Architecture, LLC Located in the center of Fitchburg, this called 'English Garden Patio,' completed by Landscape Architecture, LLC, displays impactful design and craftsmanship. This picturesque outdoor space displays classic English garden tradition along with contemporary landscape function creating a perfect communal space for family and friends. The includes a newly laid flagstone patio constructed from regionally sourced bluestone, a material that is not only resilient but helps dramatically shape the outdoor experience. The entire patio area is surrounded by an array of flowering perennial forms, including lavender and hydrangeas selected for their vibrant flowers, with seasonal colors. Ornamental grasses were installed to create texture and movement, while space for evergreens were incorporated for year-round interest. At the start of the , one of the significant hurdles was the varied slopes of the site. Our team made sure to grade the site appropriately to create a level area for the patio while maintaining good scape and contours. That consideration to the topography also allowed us to implement a custom drain to ensure water flows away from the patio area to protect against washout, erosion, and protect the site's integrity. We constructed rustic outdoor wooden trellises to be used with appropriate climbing species of vine to enhance the essence of the garden space, while our recommended architectural elements create a quiet, romantic garden environment associated with the English Garden experience. Ambient light and elements of light to the spaces also create a cozy outdoor meal or entertaining experience. The overall outcome is a breathtaking outdoor escape area that embodies the "presence" of the original design related to an event or landscaping aesthetic while elevating the overall landscape framework neighborhood/ yard characteristic.
