For example: If the design includes custom landscaping features such as fire pits or water features, this would comprise a different pricing approach. Depending upon the size of the property to be designed, the total cost will be based upon the total square footage of the landscaped area. Typically, the starting point for your landscape design project is a Design Consultation. During that first meeting we talk about what you envision for your new outdoor space along with any preferences you may have for its design as well as any special needs you will have. By creating an open dialogue between both of us regarding your goals and the ways we can assist you, we will begin to comprehend the yard's design concept you have in mind. After our initial design consultation, we will perform an on-site analysis of your property to collect data to help us determine how to best use your outdoor area. The data we collect during the on-site analysis includes soil type (which may affect your plant choices), amount of sunlight exposure your outdoor space receives and existing plants/vegetation in your landscape design. Using the collected data from the Design Consultation and on-site analysis, we will develop a written proposal including a landscape design plan (a combination of your ideas and our expert knowledge) detailing how the landscape design will be constructed along with the construction drawings (outlining how the landscape design will be implemented). After finalizing our landscape design proposal and receiving your written acceptance of the proposal, we will immediately begin the construction phase of the project.
