It is recommended for preventing and correcting chlorosis, which causes yellowing of plant leaves due to iron deficiency. Additionally, it aids in creating an acidic soil condition. When applying, use 1/2 lb. per inch of trunk for trees, around the drip line, and 1 lb. per 2 ft. of height for shrubs. However, exercise caution as Hi-Yield® Iron Sulfate can stain concrete and pavement surfaces.
