Main Benefits

Below are the top benefits of this grub killer and plant health product.

  • Season‑Long Protection: One application protects for up to 12 months. Grubs are killed as they hatch and feed, so they damage the brown patches and harm the roots.
  • Stronger Turf: It increases root mass in turf, enhancing the grass' ability to absorb water and nutrients for life-proof, low-maintenance turf.
  • Broad Pest Control: Ideal for use on turf and landscapes to manage a broad spectrum of pests, including grubs, mole crickets, European crane fly larvae, billbugs, and chinch bugs. This broad sweep keeps all of the lawn even and green.

Description

BioAdvanced Season Long Grub Control Plus Turf Revitalizer is one simple step for killing grubs and revitalizing the yard. It is a 2‑in‑1 formula used with 0.25% imidacloprid insecticide and 6‑0‑1 fertilizer formulation. It is made to be absorbed quickly, taken into the plant leaves, and moved rapidly from the leaves to the roots, where it would provide protection to the untreated turf.

How the Product Works

BioAdvanced® is a systemic insecticide and fertilizer in one. The grass roots absorb the active ingredient imidacloprid (0.25%) and enter the plant. Grubs or other soil pests that feed on treated grass will eat the insecticide and die quickly. At the same time, 6‑0‑1 fertilizer slowly releases nutrients that enhance roots while feeding the turf for weeks.

When and How to Apply

Easy steps for timing and spreading the granules.

  1. Use anytime in early spring through late summer before the eggs of grubs hatch. This collapsible window accommodates most lawn care schedules.
  2. Apply with a broadcast or drop spreader at the manufacturer’s recommended rate. This will guarantee an even spread on the lawn.
  3. After planting, water lightly (1/2 inch depth). This is enough to get the granules into the thatch and to the root zone, where the grubs feed.

Coverage Rates

When used as directed, it will cover over 20,000 sq ft. Always calibrate the spreader before applying the product. For smaller yards, calculate the square footage and determine the amount of bag to use.

Additional Pest Control

In addition to grubs, it also kills other larval types of soil pests.

  • Mole Crickets: Prevents tunneling, which leads to uneven turf and brown patches.
  • European Crane Fly Larvae: Stops “leatherjacket” damage, which occurs when large grubs feed on grass underfoot.
  • Billbugs and Chinch Bugs: Avoid chewing and sap‑sucking insects that can lead to thin turf and yellow patches.

Safety and Precautions

Here are some things to know about it to ensure safe, effective use.

  • Follow all packaging guidelines regarding rates of application and timing.
  • Allow the granules to be watered in and the surface to dry, normally within 24 hours. Then, children or pets can play on the grass again.
  • Keep away from ponds and streams to avoid running off. It is safe for use only on turf, not directly in flower beds or vegetable gardens.

FAQs

Can it be used on new lawns?

The best time to plant is after people have mowed new grass at least three times and developed good root growth.

How soon will results appear?

It can shut activity down, sometimes within days of watering in the granules. Grass growth and greening may take one to two weeks as roots respond to feeding.

Does it harm earthworms or bees?

Since imidacloprid is translocated through the grass roots, surface‑active beneficial insects will have limited contact with the product if used as directed.

Final Thoughts

This product is easy to use with season-long protection. Just apply it anytime in spring through late summer according to label directions. BioAdvanced 24# Season Long Grub Control is a great formula for any homeowner or professional. Not only does it protect against grubs and other soil pests, but it also promotes strong roots and thicker turf in one bag.
