Nufarm Mallet® 2F T&O Insecticide is a liquid concentrate designed to control a variety of insect pests. It has 21.4% percent imidacloprid, which is a powerful insecticide in the neonicotinoid class. Mallet® 2F is effective when used in repeated contact with the insect. When the insect consumes the plant, it is useful in the residential, commercial, or agricultural arena.
How to Use
Mallet® 2F is easy to use by everyone because it has a wide range of uses. It kills all sorts of pests on all sorts of plants. This is how it is used.
- For Ornamental Plants
- Ornamental plants need 1.5 fl oz of water in 100 gallons of water.
- The use of it by spraying 0.1-0.2 fl oz per inch of the trunk diameter or by injection.
- For Turfgrass: Use 1.25 -1.6 pt per acre (we probably use about 0.46 - 0.6 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft).
- For Trees: Trees use 0.1 to 0.4 fl oz per inch of trunk diameter when soil injecting, drenching, or slow-release irrigation.
- For Shrubs: Use 0.1–0.2 fl oz per foot when you soil-inject or drench in shrubs.
Targeted Pests
Mallet® 2F Nufarm kills most of the common insect pests. It does not harm any type of plants:
- Ormamentals: Kills aphids, peninsula bug, leafminers, and whiteflies.
- Turfgrass: Stop white grubs, weevils, and cutworms.
- Trees and Shrubs: Covers the wood-eating insects such as the emerald ash borer and the bronze birch borer.
Safety and Environmental Considerations
The Mallet® 2F mild insect killer is effective, although when you are using it, it will be necessary to observe the safety precautions so that you do not expose yourself to danger.

- Restricted Entry Interval (REI): 12 hours. After treatment, people must avoid going into the area treated for at least 12 hours.
