Components

FloraSeries consists of three parts:

  • FloraMicro: Helps enhance root structures and plant health.
  • FloraGro: Focuses on vegetative growth, giving nitrogen and potassium.
  • FloraBloom: Aids in flowers and fruit with added phosphorus, potassium and sulfur.

When combined, growers can use all three together and adjust the mix depending on whether the plant is in the growth stages, flowering stages, or in the finishing phases. This versatility is why FloraSeries is at the heart of the most successful hydroponics systems.

Description

The General Hydroponics Flora Gro – 6 Gallon is a liquid nutrient concentrate for plants to enhance the plant's growth at the beginning of their life cycle. It's part of the world-famous FloraSeries®, as well as one of the best three-part nutrient systems trusted by growers in the market. This product provides plants with just the right amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other minerals to promote healthy plants and abundant blooms.

What Flora Gro Does

Flora Gro is key during the vegetative growth of the plants. It is the time when plants make leaves, stems and roots before they progress to flowering. By providing plants with the ideal combination of nutrients, Flora Gro helps plants grow sturdy structures that can eventually support big blooms or fruit.

Nutrients in Flora Gro

Plants require various minerals to grow strong and well. Flora Gro features an exclusive blend that delivers this support when they need it most:

  • Nitrogen (2.0%): Creates the green leafy growth of plants and promotes root development.
  • Phosphorus (1.0%): Helps to feed the plant for root strength and energy.
  • Potassium (6.0%): Promotes strong stem growth and overall health of the plant.
  • Magnesium (0.5%): Helps leaves stay green and healthy by assisting in the production of chlorophyll.

These nutrients are carefully balanced so that plants get just the right amounts without being overfed.

How to Mix and Use

The sequence is very important when combining the nutrients. General Hydroponics recommends:

  1. Mix FloraMicro® into water first, stir well
  2. Next, add FloraGro® and mix thoroughly.
  3. Last, pour in FloraBloom® if necessary and mix one more time.

This order prevents nutrients from either becoming clunky or locked out (when the plant isn’t able to intake them).

Applications

One of the greatest things about FloraGro is that it is adaptable to many different growth methods.

  • Hydroponics: Ideal for hydro systems.
  • Soilless media: Perfect for coco coir or rockwool.
  • Soil: Can be used if you have a traditional soil garden.

It's a liquid formula that spreads easily and is taken up fast by plant roots, no matter which medium is used.

Benefits

The advantages that FloraGro provides make it the favorite of the grower:

  • Supports Strong Roots and Leaves: With high nitrogen content, plants are able to build dense roots and strong green leaves.
  • Flexible Feeding: It can be used in combination with FloraMicro and FloraBloom for a full feeding schedule for all growing methods.
  • Works in Any System: Flora Gro works exceptionally well in any type of growing media, including hydroponics, coco, or soil.
  • Easy to Use: Clear directions and a liquid formula make it easy for novices and professionals alike.
  • Great for Big Gardens: With its 6-gallon capacity, this hydroponic container system can hold sufficient nutrient solution to adapt to big plants or large systems.

Summary

The General Hydroponics Flora Gro is an essential component of a tried and tested nutrient formula. By providing plants with the right balance of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium, it boosts their strength during their most critical period.

As a member of the FloraSeries®, it enables growers to optimally adjust feeding from the start of production to the end of bloom. Whether growing plants in a greenhouse, hydroponic farm or your own backyard, Flora Gro will provide stunning and steady results.

About Us

Grand Hydro Solutions

Grand Hydro Solutions is the fastest growing marketplace of horticulture, organics, hydroponics, and lighting supplies. Our mission is to give growers, farmers and cultivators all the tools they need to efficiently and successfully manage their growing operations.

Grand Hydro Solutions offers a wide array of products for cannabis growers including grow lights, hydroponics, and grow tents. We believe the best grower deserves the best equipment, that’s why we offer a variety of hydroponics and growing equipment to suit their needs, all at the most competitive prices.

In order to grow the perfect cannabis crop, there are a few key factors that must be taken into account, including the environment, soil, water, pests and diseases.

Airflow

Proper airflow is essential for preventing mold and mildew growth as well as pests like spider mites. The best way to ensure good airflow is to have at least one fan in your grow room that is set on a timer to turn on and off throughout the day. You also want to make sure that there are no dead spots in your grow room where air is not circulating properly.

Light

Cannabis plants require light to photosynthesize and produce energy. The amount of light your plants need depends on the stage of growth they are in as well as the type of light you are using (e.g., HPS, LED, fluorescent).

Humidity

If humidity is too high, it can lead to mold and mildew growth. If humidity is too low, the leaves may begin to dry out and curl. Again, each cannabis strain has a different ideal humidity range, so make sure to do your research before setting up your grow operation.

Water

The quality of the water you use to grow your cannabis crop is extremely important. The best water for growing cannabis is pure, clean water that has been filtered or distilled even though distilled water does have some downsides because of a lack of minerals. Keep in mind that impurities in the water can cause problems with the growth and development of your plants.

In general, cannabis plants need about one gallon of water per day. However, the amount of water your plants will need will vary depending on the size and type of plant, the climate, and the soil type. You should always check the soil before watering to make sure it is not too wet or too dry. Overwatering can lead to problems with root rot and nutrient deficiencies, while underwatering can stress your plants and cause them to produce fewer buds.

Pests

Pests are one of the most common problems that growers face when trying to produce a perfect cannabis crop. There are a wide variety of pests that can attack cannabis plants, including aphids, spider mites, whiteflies, and thrips. These pests can cause damage to the leaves, stems, and flowers of the plant, which can lead to reduced yields. In severe cases, pests can even destroy the plant.

There are a number of ways to prevent pests from attacking your cannabis crop. One of the most important things you can do is to keep your grow area clean and free of debris. This will help to reduce the chances of pests being able to take up residence in your grow room, facility, or greenhouse. You should also regularly inspect your plants for signs of pest activity, such as webbing or small holes in leaves. If you do find evidence of pests, you'll need to take quick action to eradicate them before they cause serious damage.

There are a number of effective pesticides that can be used to control pests on cannabis plants. However, it's important to remember that not all pesticides are created equal. Some products may be more effective against certain types of pests than others. Additionally, some pesticides may be more harmful to humans and animals than others. Therefore, it is important to do your research before using any type of pesticide on your cannabis crop.

Diseases

Manifestation of diseases is another common problem faced by growers trying to produce a perfect cannabis crop. There are a wide variety of diseases that can affect cannabis plants, including powdery mildew, root rot, and botrytis (gray mold). In severe cases, diseases can kill the plant outright.

There are a number of ways to prevent diseases from affecting your cannabis crop. One of the most important things you can do is to choose disease-resistant strains when possible. In addition, you should maintain strict hygiene practices in your grow operation in order to prevent the spread of disease-causing organisms. You should also regularly inspect your plants for signs of disease activity, such as discolored leaves or stunted growth.

Harvest

The timing of the harvest is critical to the quality of the final product. Cannabis should be harvested when the THC levels are at their peak. This can be determined by testing the buds with a THC test kit (available at most grow shops).

Storage

Once harvested, cannabis should be dried and cured properly in order to preserve its potency and flavor. Drying should be done slowly, in a dark, cool, and dry place. Curing is done by storing the dried buds in airtight containers. This allows the buds to “off-gas” any remaining moisture and chlorophyll, resulting in a smoother consumption experience.
