Description

Safer Caterpillar Killer Concentrate is a biological insecticide that controls destructive worms and caterpillars in and around vegetable and flower gardens. This easy-to-use product is designed for use on trees, shrubs and vegetables, and it kills problematic pests like tomato hornworm, gypsy moth and cabbage looper. This is a natural, low-maintenance alternative to pesticides.

Key Features

Safer Caterpillar Killer has a special formulation which consists of an all-natural bacterium called Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki (B.t.). It’s also deadly to caterpillars and worms but safe for humans, pets and beneficial insects.

  • Natural Ingredients

The active ingredient, B.t., is a naturally occurring bacterium that works by preventing caterpillars from feeding. They stop eating and die a few days after ingesting the product. B.t., being a natural material, decomposes readily in the environment with no harmful residues.

  • Safe for Beneficial Insects

One of the great side benefits of Safer Caterpillar Killer is that it works to control these pests, and does not affect beneficial species like ladybugs, butterflies or earthworms. It will not impact friendly insects such as bees, ladybugs and earthworms when used as directed. It means it's a good pick for gardeners who want to keep their garden healthy without disturbing those beneficial insects.

  • Approved for Organic Gardening

Safer Caterpillar Killer is listed by OMRI and can be used on edible plants up to the day of harvest. Gardeners may apply this product with confidence, even in organic systems.

  • Economical Solution

One 16 oz. bottle of Safer Caterpillar Killer makes 2.5 gallons of this natural pesticide. One bottle will last for several applications and offers the gardener a reasonably priced method of providing nutrients to the plants.

How to Use Safer Caterpillar Killer

The application will go most smoothly if people follow these guidelines. Here’s how to use Safer Caterpillar Killer step-by-step:

  1. To ensure it is working, apply Safer Caterpillar Killer in the late afternoon or on overcast days. This way, the sun doesn't break down the product easily, and gives the materials more time to work.
  2. Gardeners need to be sure they are spraying both the top and bottom of the leaves, since caterpillars and worms frequently eat from the bottom side of the foliage. For pest control to be effective, it’s essential to cover the plants thoroughly.
  3. Safer Caterpillar Killer should be reapplied every 7–10 days, or after a heavy rain. This way, the pests are managed over time, and the product does not lose its strength.

What Pests Does It Control?

Safer Caterpillar Killer is the most economical and convenient natural pest control solution for caterpillars on the market. It works on:

  • Tomato hornworms
  • Cabbage loopers
  • Gypsy moths
  • Fall webworms
  • Tent caterpillars
  • Imported cabbage worms
  • Bagworms
  • Elm spanworms

These bugs can wreak havoc on trees, bushes, and other plants. Safer Caterpillar Killer offers an effective solution to help reduce infestations and protect your greenery."

Why Choose a Safer Caterpillar Killer?

Here are a few reasons why Safer Caterpillar Killer is a favorite among gardeners in search of caterpillar pest control:

  1. Environmentally Friendly: Safer Caterpillar Killer is a very economical and environmentally friendly alternative to chemical pesticides. It does not leave toxic residues and is safe for the environment.
  2. Safe for People and Pets: This is a non-harmful substance to use in the home and is safe around people and animals when used as directed. It’s also the perfect pick for families who’d rather protect their plants without having to worry about the safety of their children or pets.
  3. Works on a Wide Range of Plants: Safer Caterpillar Killer is the ideal solution for the garden and other food crops including vegetables, ornamentals, trees, shrubs and fruit & nut crops. Whether want to shield tomato plants from hornworms or guard trees from gypsy moths, this product can be used in numerous plant settings.

Efficient and Convenient: As a concentrate, Safer Caterpillar Killer is easy to store and transport. A single bottle can treat up to 250 gallons of spray, so it’s an easy option for large gardens. Gardeners can mix only as much as they actually need, with no waste.

About Us

Grand Hydro Solutions

Grand Hydro Solutions is the fastest growing marketplace of horticulture, organics, hydroponics, and lighting supplies. Our mission is to give growers, farmers and cultivators all the tools they need to efficiently and successfully manage their growing operations.

Grand Hydro Solutions offers a wide array of products for cannabis growers including grow lights, hydroponics, and grow tents. We believe the best grower deserves the best equipment, that’s why we offer a variety of hydroponics and growing equipment to suit their needs, all at the most competitive prices.

In order to grow the perfect cannabis crop, there are a few key factors that must be taken into account, including the environment, soil, water, pests and diseases.

Airflow

Proper airflow is essential for preventing mold and mildew growth as well as pests like spider mites. The best way to ensure good airflow is to have at least one fan in your grow room that is set on a timer to turn on and off throughout the day. You also want to make sure that there are no dead spots in your grow room where air is not circulating properly.

Light

Cannabis plants require light to photosynthesize and produce energy. The amount of light your plants need depends on the stage of growth they are in as well as the type of light you are using (e.g., HPS, LED, fluorescent).

Humidity

If humidity is too high, it can lead to mold and mildew growth. If humidity is too low, the leaves may begin to dry out and curl. Again, each cannabis strain has a different ideal humidity range, so make sure to do your research before setting up your grow operation.

Water

The quality of the water you use to grow your cannabis crop is extremely important. The best water for growing cannabis is pure, clean water that has been filtered or distilled even though distilled water does have some downsides because of a lack of minerals. Keep in mind that impurities in the water can cause problems with the growth and development of your plants.

In general, cannabis plants need about one gallon of water per day. However, the amount of water your plants will need will vary depending on the size and type of plant, the climate, and the soil type. You should always check the soil before watering to make sure it is not too wet or too dry. Overwatering can lead to problems with root rot and nutrient deficiencies, while underwatering can stress your plants and cause them to produce fewer buds.

Pests

Pests are one of the most common problems that growers face when trying to produce a perfect cannabis crop. There are a wide variety of pests that can attack cannabis plants, including aphids, spider mites, whiteflies, and thrips. These pests can cause damage to the leaves, stems, and flowers of the plant, which can lead to reduced yields. In severe cases, pests can even destroy the plant.

There are a number of ways to prevent pests from attacking your cannabis crop. One of the most important things you can do is to keep your grow area clean and free of debris. This will help to reduce the chances of pests being able to take up residence in your grow room, facility, or greenhouse. You should also regularly inspect your plants for signs of pest activity, such as webbing or small holes in leaves. If you do find evidence of pests, you'll need to take quick action to eradicate them before they cause serious damage.

There are a number of effective pesticides that can be used to control pests on cannabis plants. However, it's important to remember that not all pesticides are created equal. Some products may be more effective against certain types of pests than others. Additionally, some pesticides may be more harmful to humans and animals than others. Therefore, it is important to do your research before using any type of pesticide on your cannabis crop.

Diseases

Manifestation of diseases is another common problem faced by growers trying to produce a perfect cannabis crop. There are a wide variety of diseases that can affect cannabis plants, including powdery mildew, root rot, and botrytis (gray mold). In severe cases, diseases can kill the plant outright.

There are a number of ways to prevent diseases from affecting your cannabis crop. One of the most important things you can do is to choose disease-resistant strains when possible. In addition, you should maintain strict hygiene practices in your grow operation in order to prevent the spread of disease-causing organisms. You should also regularly inspect your plants for signs of disease activity, such as discolored leaves or stunted growth.

Harvest

The timing of the harvest is critical to the quality of the final product. Cannabis should be harvested when the THC levels are at their peak. This can be determined by testing the buds with a THC test kit (available at most grow shops).

Storage

Once harvested, cannabis should be dried and cured properly in order to preserve its potency and flavor. Drying should be done slowly, in a dark, cool, and dry place. Curing is done by storing the dried buds in airtight containers. This allows the buds to “off-gas” any remaining moisture and chlorophyll, resulting in a smoother consumption experience.
