Natural Enemies’ Enermix has made a noticeable difference in my garden, keeping pests at bay and helping my plants thrive.

Description

Enermix is a meticulously formulated biological control agent designed to combat whitefly infestations in greenhouse settings. This product harnesses the natural behavior of female adult parasitic wasps, which play a crucial role in its mode of action.

When Enermix is applied, the female adult parasitic wasps seek out and parasitize second to fourth-stage larvae of the whitefly. This parasitization process involves the female wasps laying their eggs inside these larvae, leading to the development of the whitefly larvae into leathery, dark-colored pupae.

In addition to parasitization, Enermix also facilitates host feeding. This means that the adult parasitic wasps also feed on the whitefly larvae, further reducing their population.

To apply Enermix effectively, carefully open the package inside the greenhouse. Bend the strips and tear them off, starting from the opposite end of the hang-up hole. Suspend the cards containing the parasitized pupae among the crop, ideally placing them approximately 75 cm (29.5 in) below the top of the plant. It is important to avoid placing the cards in direct sunlight, as this can affect the efficacy of the parasitic wasps.

Furthermore, when handling Enermix, it is crucial not to touch the pupae, as this can disrupt their development and effectiveness in controlling the whitefly population. Following these application guidelines will help maximize the impact of Enermix in combating whitefly infestations, offering a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution for greenhouse growers.
