Description
Natupol Excel is designed to enhance pollination in greenhouse crops through the use of bumblebees. The worker bumblebees, upon release, immediately begin pollinating the crop, aided by additional workers born in the following weeks. The hive features a larger volume of sugar water tailored to the crop's needs, boosting pollination potential and providing bumblebees with more energy to regulate their microclimate. The hive's design includes modified ventilation openings for improved airflow and screens to prevent insects from entering.
To optimize placement, distribute Natupol hives evenly along the greenhouse's main path. During summer, position the hive 20-60 cm above the ground on the south side for shade, with additional shading if necessary. In winter, place the hive near the top of plants on the north side to catch the first daylight. Allow at least 15 minutes after positioning before opening the hive entrance to let the bumblebee colonies settle.
Natupol Excel performs best at temperatures between 10-30°C. Each hive contains food for bumblebees during transport and storage. Start using the hive on the day of arrival or no later than one day after. Maintain bumblebees at 15-25°C and avoid direct sunlight. Ensure the "Bee Happy" nectar bag is uncapped before releasing bumblebees to prevent premature fading of the hive.
For best results, ensure hive visibility, limit hive clusters to two per area, and protect from direct sunlight and ants. Avoid placing hives near high CO2 levels.
