The soil moisture sensor is perfect for measuring bottom heat, monitoring mixing valve systems, soil temperature, and various other applications. With dimensions of 2.4 inches x 0.8 inches x 0.1 inch, it features a 6 to 20-foot extendable cable, which can be lengthened up to 50 feet. Operating at 80 MHz, this sensor functions effectively in a temperature range of 33 to 175°F (0.5 to 80°C).

Description

Our soil moisture sensor reader sets the standard in interfaces and is compatible with WatchDog weather stations, mini stations, and micro stations. It features a 2.5mm stereo pin connector and operates on a power range of 3 to 5V, consuming only 6 to 10mA. 

The output is an analog voltage directly proportional to the excitation voltage (ranging from 0.5 to 1.5V for a 3V excitation). With a wide measurement range from 0% VWC to saturation, it delivers precise readings with a resolution of 0.1% VWC. 

This reliable soil sensor reader ensures accuracy, maintaining a 3% VWC accuracy when EC is less than 8 mS/cm.
