Four O'Clock Marvel of Peru
Also known as Beauty-of-the-Night. Plants are lush and bushy with bright green oval leaves on short leafstalks with stems that are swollen at the joints. The fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers are bright and attractive and bloom in iridescent purplish-red, white, pink, yellow and lavender. The flowers open in late afternoon, stay open all night and close up in the morning sun. Their blooms range in color from pink to white to purplish-red, to lavender to yellow. Ideal as a background plant or containers.
