It’s deep, velvety purple blossoms are 2-3 inches across, and have a deep wine colored throat and star. Morning Glories make excellent privacy screens, covering fences with dense foliage and attractive blossoms.
Select a sunny location with well-drained soil of average to low fertility, and plant outdoors after the last frost. For earlier blooms, start seeds indoors in peat pots, 4 to 6 weeks before last frost date. Cultivate soil and firm over seed, keeping it moist. Do not over water and do not fertilize. Provide trellis, fence, or wall for support for these 10 to 15 foot vines.
