Select sunny location with well-drained soil and sow in Spring as soon as soil can be worked. For earlier blossoms, start indoors in peat pots in early Spring. Cultivate soil, enriching with organic matter, and firm over seed, keeping it moist. In mild winter areas, plant in the Fall. Remove old blossoms and cut straggly plants back to stimulate new blossoms. Feed monthly and avoid watering late in the day.
