Description
Wetsel Seed™ Thunbergia Alata Black Eyed Susan Vine Seed
470mg Packet
This is a fast growing, exotic appearing vine that covers itself with colorful flowers all summer and into fall. The tubular flowers, up to 1 1/2” (4 cm.) across, are orange or yellowish with contrasting black throats. Plants twine and easily scramble up low fences, trellises, netting, and posts forming a screen. Trail over a low wall or from hanging baskets or urns.
Plant in area receiving full sun or light afternoon shade. Soil should be well-drained, fertile, and amended with organic matter. Sow seeds directly in the garden just before the last expected Spring frost. For earlier blossoms, sow indoors 6-8 weeks before planting outdoors. Sow 2 seeds per pot and do not thin. Harden for several days before transplanting to the garden. Keep soil moist and weed free. Fertilize when plants are about 6' or 6 in. tall.
