Wetsel Seedâ„¢ Mary Washington Asparagus Seed

A delicious and healthful perennial vegetable that goes well with any food. Can be served hot, lukewarm, or cold. Foliage is attractive in bouquets. Plants may produce for up to 15 years or more.
Start seeds indoors or in hot bed 8-12 weeks before last frost. Set plants out after last frost, or sow directly outdoors in sunny location after last frost. Cultivate soil deeply and enrich with vegetable food and organic matter. Firm soil over seed. After first year transplant into permanent beds. Keep soil moist, weed free and feed twice a year. Cut or Snap spears when 6-8 in. high in third year.
