Description
Wetsel Seedâ„¢ Kentucky Blue Pole Garden Beans Seed
80,000 Seeds
Flavor is similar to Kentucky Wonder, but sweetened and enhanced by its Blue Lake parent. It’s ready to harvest one week earlier than Kentucky Wonder and has round, relatively straight pods. Healthy vigorous vines produce six to seven inch pods throughout the picking season. Pods develop light strings as they mature. Delicious cooked, frozen or canned.
Select a sunny location and plant after danger of frost. For best results, loosen soil with spade or fork, fertilize with vegetable food and smooth soil with rake. Firm soil over seed and keep moist. Support climbing pole beans with trellis, poles, string, or fence. Cultivate or mulch to control seeds. Keep soil moist but do not over water. Pick when young (6-7 in./15-18 cm.) for optimum flavor and texture. Some may grow to 10 in./25 cm. with still good quality, but light string may develop as they mature.
Seed Variety: Beans, Kentucky Blue Pole
Botanical Name: Phaseolus vulgaris

Planting Depth: 1-1/2 in.
Seed Spacing: 3-4 in.
