Select sunny location and plant after last frost. Soil should be warm, cultivated and enriched with a vegetable food. Make successive plantings of bush beans every 2 weeks until 8 weeks before fall frost. Sow pole beans only once. Firm soil over seed. Support pole beans with stout poles, trellis, string, or wire. Water by soaking soil, to reduce danger of disease. Pick regularly with care to avoid injury to vine.
