This variety has large flattened globes 3-4 inches in diameter with dark red skin and soft white flesh. Red Burgundy have a very mild and sweet taste perfect for salads and pickling, they have a short storage and can be picked young for bunching.
Sow seed 5-8 weeks before the last frost or when the soil reaches 50 degrees. Plant in rich soils with full sun. Keep soil weed free and feed every 6-8 weeks. Allow tops to fall and die before harvesting.
