This unique and delicious squash is so easy to grow. No wonder it’s rapidly becoming more popular with gardeners. Vining plants produce 12"/30 cm., oblong bright yellow fruits, that store well for fall and winter enjoyment. Enjoy steamed, boiled and baked. The cooked flesh separates into spaghetti-like strands with a mild flavor, compatible with many sauces. Select sunny location (will tolerate light shade) and plant in late spring when soil is warm, and danger of frost is past. Cultivate and enrich with vegetable food and organic matter. Firm soil over seed. Keep soil moist, weed free and feed monthly. May be grown on a trellis. Allow fruit to remain on vine until the skin is hard enough to easily resist scratching or puncturing. Pick before frost, leaving part of stem attached. Cure fruit for one week in warm, dry place and then store in cool place at 45°-55°F with low humidity.
