Strong and Dependable Sand
PolySweep is not regular sand—it has special polymers mixed in. When the user activates it with water, it hardens to form a permanent joint that keeps pavers in place. This gives it the strength to withstand traffic, weather, and years of use.
- Resists washout from heavy rain
- Prevents weed growth and insect damage
- Less maintenance required
Clear Set Technology® – No Haze
One of the greatest benefits of PolySweep is its Clear Set Technology®. A lot of polymeric sands resulted in a white haze on pavers, but PolySweep is formulated to set clean.
- Haze-free formula
- No Portland cement (avoids staining)
- Maintains pavers looking natural and stunning
All-Season Durability
Outdoor surfaces have to withstand the elements from hot summers to cold freeze/thaw cycles. PolySweep is formulated to expand as temperatures rise and fall — and thus it does not crack.
- Handles freeze/thaw conditions
- Stays flexible while keeping strength
- Works in all climates
Applications
PolySweep is highly versatile. It works with:
- Concrete pavers
- Clay bricks
- Natural stone
- Cast stone
- Porcelain pavers
Designed for both residential and commercial applications and perfect for landscapers, builders and homeowners.
Easy Installation
PolySweep is fairly easy to install when it is done properly. Here’s how it works:
- Preparation: The surface and the joints must be dry. The product requires a minimum of 12 hours to dry after installation.
- Fill the Joints: Sweep sand into the gaps all the way around the pavers. Joints would need to be at least 1.5 inches deep for optimum performance.
- Compact the Sand: Firm the sand with a compactor for concrete pavers or a mallet for stone to compact it into the joints.
- Add More Sand if Needed: Maintain the level about 1/8 inch below the top of the pavers.
- Water Activation: Spray the sand lightly multiple times until it is thoroughly soaked. This triggers the polymers and holds the joints together.
Coverage Per Bag
A 50 lb bag of PolySweep covers varying square footage depending on joint width:
- Up to ¼ inch joints – 50 to 75 square feet
- ¼ to ½ inch joints – 25 to 50 square feet
- ½ to ¾ inch joints – 15 to 25 square feet
This ease of calculation allows buyers to estimate how many bags are right for their project.
