Description
The brass packing nut located on the head of the simmons frost-proof yard hydrant has been factory adjusted. If leakage should occur upon installation or after usage, you may find it necessary to slightly tighten the brass packing nut. If hydrant will not shut off completely, the plunger in the bottom of the hydrant can be lowered by raising the point of contact of the square head set screw on the brass rod. To prevent unauthorized use, handle on 800LF, 900, 4800LF and 6800LF series can be padlocked by inserting padlock into holes provided in handle and head.
