About This Project

Entrances & Courtyards by Robert D. Schweitzer Jr. Landscape Architect The 'Entrances & Courtyards' was created in a variety of neighborhoods in Connecticut, by Robert D. Schweitzer Jr. Landscape Architect. Our company serves clients from Bethel to Westport and had the opportunity to redesign a number of lackluster entryways and courtyards into amazing outdoor experiences for their residents and their guests. Our designs utilized a variety of native and ornamental plants, including perennials, shrubs, and trees to enhance the botanical splendor of the entrance spaces while attracting beneficial insects and other wildlife. We were also committed to utilizing high-end materials and craftsmanship; natural stone paths, and custom brick paved patios and walks helped achieve the continuity of the interior spaces into an amazing exterior. A primary challenge was the grading of the site, which fell away from the building; we needed to develop creative solutions to achieve proper drainage while also maintaining a pleasing aesthetic. We were able to do this through creative landscape development strategies, including a number of retaining walls and tiered planting beds to maximize the site uses while also providing depth. We took great pride in creating a set of creative entrances to every unique property, as well as courtyard spaces for lounging and entertaining family and friends. Our clients were thrilled with the landscape transformation because they improved their curb appeal and added significant value to their homes. The 'Entrances & Courtyards' illustrates the ethos of Robert D. Schweitzer Jr. Landscape Architect as it relates to quality and creativity, while expressing beauty and functionality proper in the towns of Connecticut and Westchester County.
