About This Project

The Perfect Arrangement project in Wexford is a stunning transformation that redefined the heart of our clients' home in Tulsa, OK. Tasked with creating a welcoming and functional kitchen space, The Buckingham Group embarked on a comprehensive design-build process that turned the owners' vision into a reality. The original kitchen, a product of the 1980s with its dropped ceiling, plastic grids, and aging oak cabinetry, was stripped down to its rough framing to make way for a modern, vibrant area for family gatherings and socializing. A pivotal aspect of the design was the extension of the rear wall by three feet to the east, allowing for the inclusion of a spacious center island and an inviting eating bar. This thoughtful expansion not only enhanced the kitchen’s functionality but also created an inviting atmosphere perfect for entertaining guests. Additionally, we removed a corner of the kitchen, further extending it into previously unused space beneath the second level, optimizing every square inch for utility and comfort. The craftsmanship in this project shines through in the selection of materials and finishes. The dated oak cabinets were replaced with contemporary cabinetry that features sleek lines and a fresh color palette, while the countertops were upgraded to durable, stylish surfaces that complement the overall aesthetic. Modern lighting fixtures were installed to illuminate the space, enhancing both the functionality and ambiance of the kitchen. By partially removing the wall that separated the kitchen from the family room, we created an open-concept design that fosters connectivity and flow between the two spaces. The resulting kitchen is not only a practical cooking area but also a beautiful focal point that embodies the essence of home.
