NW Portland Residence by JP Stone Contractors, Inc. Located in NW Portland, this residential landscaping showcases the artistry and craftsmanship that JP Stone Contractors, Inc. is recognized for across the Pacific Northwest. This was a challenge and it is so exciting to now have the opportunity to show how we took the small space and designed a landscape that honors the natural beauty of the northwest. Our process began with a thorough site visit to understand the unique site characteristics. We used native plants, recognizing that these plants will mitigate maintenance and contribute to sustainability while enhancing the local ecology. The site design contained a rich palette of blooming shrubs, ornamental grasses, and a robust selection of perennials that provide forms and color all year. Our landscape experts specified quality materials including the sod, locally sourced stone for the patio and pathways, and the planting materials. Materials were specified with a quality standard that provided elegance and durability. One of the biggest challenges for this was the sloping grade of the house. Our information and skill allowed us to expertly grade the property to create a multi-layered, multi-level grade that accommodated proper drainage and erosion control measures. This unique opportunity solved any water concerns to avoid moisture intrusion while creating specific zones for relaxing and entertaining, including a fire pit and adjacent seating area. Additionally, we installed a sophisticated irrigation system to ensure the landscape looks good and can mitigate any waste of water. The final and finishing touches of the landscaping included custom lighting that highlights the landscape at night, allowing the homeowner to appreciate their spaces at any time. Overall, this presented a magnificent landscape oasis for the homeowner that connected with their vision for the site and enhanced the overall value and aesthetics of the NW Portland Residence. The homeowner could not have been happier with the overall scope of the and recognized the quality of work and craftsmanship that we provided.
