About This Project

The Riverdale Master Bathroom project in Germantown, TN, is a stunning transformation that epitomizes luxury and functionality. This renovation involved a comprehensive gutting of the original space, effectively doubling the size of the shower by eliminating a cumbersome cabinet and storage area next to the toilet. By converting this wall into a stylish knee or pony wall, we opened up the bathroom, creating a more inviting and spacious atmosphere. The design choices made during this renovation highlight a harmonious blend of modern aesthetics and practical features. New porcelain tiles adorn both the walls and the shower floor, complemented by a mosaic decorative band that adds a touch of elegance. The shower is further enhanced with a corner seat and foot stoop, as well as recessed niches for convenient storage of toiletries. The addition of Bostik true color grout ensures a seamless finish, enhancing the overall appeal of the tiled surfaces. In terms of fixtures, we installed high-quality Kohler products, including valves, a main shower head, and a hand-held shower mounted on a hook for added versatility. Safety was also a priority, with grab bars installed for ease of use. The crowning feature of the shower is the frameless glass door and panel, which not only showcases the exquisite tile work but also contributes to a modern, open feel. The bathroom is further complemented by a one-piece Kohler toilet and an under-mount sink paired with a Kohler lavatory faucet. The stunning Cambria Quartz countertop, adorned with a coordinating mosaic band as a backsplash, serves as a focal point. Storage needs were expertly addressed with a Medallion vanity featuring pull-out drawers and a cabinet above the toilet with a shelf, combining functionality with sophisticated design. This project, completed in 2015 with a budget ranging from $10,001 to $25,000, has resulted in a remarkable master bathroom that beautifully balances style, comfort, and practicality, providing an exceptional space for relaxation and rejuvenation.
