The Terraced Water Dream This yard transformation, 'The Terraced Water Dream,' was completed by Marquise Pools and is a truly amazing landscaping that turns a hillside property in The Woodlands area into an enjoyable refuge for its owners. It expeditiously combines nature with artistry, providing a series of multi-leveled exterior spaces that further witness the amazing beauty the water elements and landscaping affords. The involves a series of terraces that elegantly frame its own planting scheme that promotes biodiversity and enhances the aesthetic appeal of the various terraced surfaces. The design is based on native plantings to support sustainability, while also utilizing vibrant flowers and ornamental grasses to support the seasonal diversity of the landscape in color and texture. The stone that "frames" each terrace is sourced locally and retains a rustic charm in keeping with the natural look and feel of the new landscape. One of the most extraordinary elements of this is a waterfall cascading from the top terrace into a peaceful pond below providing sound that invites leisure and relaxation. The kids have made the pond home to some fantastic koi fish and aquatic plants that add lively movement and allure to the new landscape. All materials were top of the line because Marquise Pools believes strongly in a great product that will hold up. We've developed robust, reinforced battery-pack liners that will do an excellent job holding the water and we have designed an environmentally friendly filtration system that has kept the pond mostly clear. Throughout the entire , we had our fair share of challenges. Our biggest challenge was and problems fixing the steep topography and drainage issues that could have made or broke the overall aesthetic or functionality. Fortunately, Marquise Pools employs some pretty skilled designers and builders. One of our valores was to innovate and provide excellent drainage that facilitated the entire water flow component of the terraces and it also added to the look of the terraced appearance. The client was excited with the end product - so we left this feeling we exceeded their expectations and our own! This landscape is beautiful and allowed the client outdoor areas to entertain, relax, and connect to nature once completed.
