This exquisite residential property received a complete facelift featuring a graceful combination of hardscaping and softscaping, designed to address both use and beauty. A custom-designed tennis court was the predominant element of this , encased by carefully maintained gardens. The team used the highest quality items like pavers which are durable and weather-resistant for the tennis court perimeter and artificial turf which allows the court to be in use at any time of year. To provide the tennis court with a uniquely native setting, the team planted native shrubs of varying color and perennials, that completed the landscape and were uniquely in step with the architecture of the home and surroundings. Along with design, we were faced with the challenge of working with a site containing steep slopes. The slopes naturally caused water to gather, and we created an appropriate system of drainage to ensure water would not pool, thus protecting the tennis court and gardens for years to come. All components of the system were engineered seamlessly within the landscape design and did not detract from the aesthetics of the landscapes while effectively carrying and displacing rainfall. In the end, the space has become an outdoor wonderland that meets the homeowner’s athletic needs while being a relaxed outdoor setting for family gatherings and social events. The estate is now home to green plants and trees that have grown in, paired with carefully designed space, including the tennis court, and our clients have enjoyed their time spent recreationally or socially against this gorgeous backdrop.
