Beechwood Bungalow by Siciliano Landscape Company Located in the charming community of West Long Branch, the Beechwood Bungalow is a true demonstration of the quality work conducted by Siciliano Landscape Company. The expectations were to turn a small outdoors space into a delightful space that was usable and attractive. The kickoff consisted of a detailed design plan that featured native plantings for biodiversity and the lowest possible maintenance for the homeowners. We put together a combination of lush green ornamental grasses, flowering shrubs, and colorful perennials that would flourish in this area. Further enhancing the visual impact of the would involve a detailed intentionally designed path of custom locally quarried bluestone, placed for form and function. The stone provided both visual and functional continuity through the outdoor area. As with any , we encountered challenges and this was not without its hurdles. One of the challenges presented in the property was an uneven lot. Our team addressed those challenges when, in indication of the home’s features, we designed a series of terraced flower beds that not only decreased visual clutter but improved drainage of the flower beds. The flower beds would continue to last for the homeowners, both in the planting materials and the hardscape. Additionally we designed and installed a custom wood pergola of reclaimed cedar to be used as an iconic feature and gathering space for the family. The structure was fitted with soft outdoor lighting in designed locations to provide ambiance for evening gatherings. The final product of the Beechwood created happy client’s who enjoyed their transformed outdoor space. The spatial and aesthetic symbiosis of outdoor space not only increased the curb appeal of but became a peaceful family escape for relaxation and entertaining.
