About This Project

George K - Green Planet Landscaping Pools & Spa Situated in the dynamic center of Las Vegas, the George K showcases the artistry and expertise of Green Planet Landscaping Pools & Spa. This entire landscape created a stunning outdoor space from a typical backyard to refine the vision of the client. As part of our process, we were tasked with the unique challenges of the hot, dry Nevada, climate, and wanted to create an attractive space that was also sustainable. To that end, we created a lush landscape with fewer overall resources by selecting drought-tolerant planting, along with some native desert planting and colorful succulents, that thrived in the heat. The placement of the plants also served to provide structured views while creating visual density or layering. At the heart of the was a beautiful swimming pool, with natural stone coping and a waterfall feature, serving a dual purpose of screen and sound. The natural stone along with travertine pavers dressed the pool and surrounding area, providing a cool surface underfoot to sit on while sunbathing or entertaining on a warm day. In addition, we included a built-in outdoor kitchen that features high-end cooking equipment and pergola that provided cover to allow the client to enjoy outdoor cooking and dining year-round. We also created an outdoor fire pit that used reclaimed wood and natural stone to create a cozy gathering area for friends and family. Throughout the we dealt with various challenges such as rock or stony areas and extreme sun exposure. Our skilled staff and trades managed to work through and use techniques to overcome these challenges while ensuring lasting durability in all elements. Overall, the final product was a beautiful outdoor retreat that ultimately met the client's functional needs while providing an excellent frame of reference for an outdoor gathering space. The represents Green Planet Landscaping Pools & Spa's work with a high degree of quality and craftsmanship, leaving the client excited their new outdoor escapade.
