Diedrich Residence - Carmel, IN Hittle Landscaping is excited to showcase the remodel of the Diedrich Residence in Carmel, IN, where we demonstrate our strong values of quality and creativity in standout landscaping. This was an extensive remodeling . It is intended to beautify and increase the functionality of the outdoor space while remaining architecturally cohesive to the home. The landscape design features a large patio layout out of natural stone pavers of exceptional quality. This space serves as a functional and durable gathering space for family and friends. We built a custom fire pit to complement the patio space for evenings spent outside. By selecting a combination of native plants to accent the space with colorful perennials and ornamental grasses, we added visual interest to the site while providing habitat for birds and insects. A challenge that we faced early on was the sloping grade of the site. Our Hittle team planned for a multi-tiered garden to maximize the space, but to add visual interest to the overall design. Retaining walls built with local boulders were incorporated into the design as they add a natural aspect to the garden while ensuring the structure held. The landscape lighting was well thought out to create evening ambiance by highlighting features of the lush gardens and patio for an inviting outdoor space. In the end, the outcome of the Diedrich Residence was a beautiful outdoor living space that went beyond the expectations of our clients. They were very pleased with the amount of functionality we increased while maintaining beauty to the site for spaces to entertain and unwind outdoors. Hittle Landscaping’s high standard of craftsmanship and attention to detail produced a functional and beautiful space, as well as a relaxing escape steeped in expertise, quality design and sustainable landscaping practices.
