Small Space - Big Impact Garden The OHIO VALLEY GROUP, INC. recently completed our 'Small Space - Big Impact Garden' , a perfect example of our ability to use smaller spaces to create beautiful outdoor environments. This was located in Chagrin Falls and presented specific challenges, including not a lot of space and an uneven surface. Nevertheless, our team was able to navigate the challenges presented by using vertical gardening techniques and quality materials, such as natural stone for walking paths and perennials in colors that thrive in smaller gardens. We started the with a design that incorporated many different layers and color, so that the visual interest of the space was maximized, while maintaining ease of upkeep. Adding elements such as native plants gave our clients beautiful views and excellent biodiversity to attract pollinators. A trellis at eye level, with climbing vines, and in a position as an aspect was additionally added to provide height and depth. Our designs included seasonal flowers which complemented evergreen shrubs to provide seasonal colors throughout the year. Additionally, the use of sustainable practices such as drip irrigation and mulch will keep the area watered and the soil healthy in addition to allowing us to continue our commitment towards environmentally-responsible landscaping. When we revealed the final outcome to our clients, they were blown away by the transformation of their underused outdoor space to a wonderful place to relax or entertain friends. Our 'Small Space - Big Impact Garden' is a reflection of the skill and craft that THE OHIO VALLEY GROUP, INC. exhibits in everything we do.
