Rancho Santa Fe Estate Hermann Design Group is excited to announce the completion of the Rancho Santa Fe Estate landscape renovation that merges thoughtful design and luxury in Southern California. Situated in an exclusive neighborhood of Rancho Santa Fe, Hermann Design Group designed a fantasy outdoor space that combined luxury with the natural elements of the desert landscape. This exciting landscape renovation included the design and installation of gorgeous gardens, native planting, and flowering specimens that complemented the esthetic of the property while promoting an environmentally sustainable property. The use of drought-tolerant planting selections allowed for the property to thrive ecologically and confidently during Southern California's extreme drought conditions. Elements of the included the installation of a grand entryway flanked by hand picked stone pathways made of locally sourced materials, which created an inviting feel. We designed an expansive outdoor living space complete with a custom built pergola, luxury seating, and an outdoor kitchen, as well as a cascading water element to create a calm ambiance and entice family and friends to enjoy the outdoors. Our team faced a variety of challenges through the process from uneven grading to soil quality but ultimately employed creative solutions such as drainage and soil amendments to take the beyond the landscape we had envisioned. The result is a landscape that combines form and function to create a captivating sanctuary, ultimately honoring our commitment to craftsmanship and attention to detail. The end landscape was not only enjoyed by the clients, but the renovation also added property value and expanded their ability to host family and friends in an outdoor entertainment area.
