About This Project

The Ankeny Kitchen project represents a transformative upgrade that beautifully blends functionality with modern aesthetics. Our client sought to rejuvenate her kitchen space, moving away from the dated oak cabinets that dominated the area. The decision to reface the cabinets was a pivotal choice, allowing for a fresh look while preserving the structural integrity of the existing cabinetry. This upgrade was complemented by the installation of stunning new granite countertops, which not only enhanced the visual appeal but also provided a durable and practical surface for daily activities. A significant aspect of this renovation involved the removal of the fluorescent light box, which was replaced with more contemporary lighting solutions that not only illuminate the space effectively but also add to the overall ambiance of the kitchen. The inclusion of a stylish tile backsplash further accentuated the design, providing a visually striking contrast against the new countertops and cabinetry. Our client also took the opportunity to invest in new appliances, ensuring that her kitchen was equipped with the latest technology and efficiency features. To expand the kitchen’s functionality, the pantry closet was removed, creating a more open and inviting layout. This decision not only improved the flow of the space but also allowed us to enlarge the window above the kitchen sink. The larger window now floods the area with natural light, enhancing the warmth and inviting atmosphere of the kitchen. The craftsmanship involved in this project reflects a commitment to quality and attention to detail, resulting in a cohesive design that balances traditional elements with modern upgrades. The final outcome is a kitchen that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also perfectly tailored to the needs of our client, making it a delightful space for cooking, entertaining, and family gatherings.
