About This Project

The Ankeny Modern Kitchen project exemplifies a transformative approach to kitchen design, resulting in a space that embodies both functionality and contemporary aesthetics. Located in Ankeny, IA, this project was initiated in 2016 with a clear vision: to revitalize an outdated kitchen by enhancing its layout and upgrading its features. The client sought to replace their existing cabinets and remove a corner walk-in pantry, which was limiting the kitchen's spatial potential. In undertaking this renovation, we focused on creating a larger, more open feel that seamlessly integrates the kitchen with the surrounding living areas. The installation of taller upper cabinets not only provides ample storage but also draws the eye upward, enhancing the sense of space and light. The choice of materials was crucial in achieving a modern look; sleek, high-quality finishes were selected to complement the overall design. The cabinetry features clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic, which are hallmarks of modern kitchen design. In addition to the cabinetry, we meticulously upgraded all surfaces, including countertops and backsplashes. The surfaces were chosen to reflect a contemporary vibe, utilizing materials that are both durable and stylish. The result is a cohesive look that balances beauty with practicality, making the kitchen an inviting space for both cooking and entertaining. The craftsmanship involved in this project is evident in the attention to detail and the seamless integration of all elements. The final outcome is a stunning modern kitchen that not only meets the client's needs but also aligns with their vision of a refreshed, functional space.
