The included the design of a large yard into a beautiful outdoor living area full of usable space and nature. The also included a great design of a multi-tiered garden that incorporated native perennials and ornamental shrubs, which added to the beauty of the landscape. Quality and longevity materials were also selected for the multi-functional areas like a pathway that included local stone and a composite deck area for the outdoor living space. One design challenge during this was the grade of the yard. Our skilled landscape team had to carefully grade the property to provide a balanced and aesthetically striped landscape that maximized space and drained properly. In addition, we added a decorative retaining wall to solve the grading issue, and it also created a beautiful area that transitioned between the space. The native plants have also decreased water consumption and attracted local wildlife, which supports the ecosystem in their back yard. We enhanced the garden experience at night by adding LED energy efficient lighting throughout the garden to highlight the areas and provide safety for the walkways. The final product was rewarding for the client who now has a landscape that reflects their style while providing a usable family space and retreat.
