Lancaster, PA 2 by Earth, Turf, & Wood, Inc. Situated in the heart of Lancaster County, the Lancaster, PA 2 by Earth, Turf, & Wood, Inc. highlights the talents and craftsmanship of our company through an overall site and landscape design transforming a suburban home into an outdoor oasis that is both functional and pleasing to the eye. It includes a multi-tier garden that connects with the environment and enhances surroundings, which is important when seeking a sustainable garden. We used both native and non-native materials at the same time, choosing a vast range of perennials and ornamental grasses to achieve a colorful garden over months of the growing season. To help define the space, we incorporated natural stone retaining walls from a local stone quarry to enhance aesthetics and function to manage the slope of the property. Another significant challenge that we encountered during the , specifically, was the drainage issue in the yard. We put in a comprehensive drainage system and added French drains to rid of unwanted water running from bed to bed. It is essential to consider like this in order to provide quality and longevity in the plants we install. A patio space was also constructed out of custom pavers for a beautiful gathering space in the yard for family barbecues and entertainment. The flow of the patio design, from the indoor living space into the outdoor area, is pleasing. The chosen materials are naturally weather resistant and are intended to last with low maintenance. In the end, the turned out even more beautiful than described in the design, and the client was impressed with the initial improvement to their outdoor area and the enhancement of their home and property value. The beautiful gardens, elegant hardscapes, and functionality of the drainage create a retreat outdoors to be enjoyed for months out of the year and the entire landscape is pleasing overall.
